Thanks for the link. I see nothing in the user reviews about difficulty with setup. (other problems for sure, just not setup).

I see no reason to doubt that the Toucan app will work as expected.

What happens when you attempt to connect the doorbell.??

  The only thing I am seeing, is it won't pair with my phone.
  
  I did see the message regarding only supporting 2.4ghz networks, and thought limiting my network was worth a try.
