If you are with Plusnet then you are using ADSL or VDSL (FTTC) which will require a modem. I don't think the Plusnet's combined modem/router allows you to put it in Bridge Mode (modem only).
You could buy a second hand Modem (HG612 ver 3B) off a well known auction site for around £15, or a Draytek Vigor 130 but these are much pricer.
If you had FTTP (if available in your area) then you would have automatically have an ONT (modem) which you could then plug the orbi straight into it, however I believe if you are with Plusnet then they don't currently offer any FTTP packages.

Ah, this is interesting. I spent a long time with the NETGEAR helpdesk trying to connect with the OUTREACH socket and this was not mentioned. Thanks, I will ask NETGEAR the specific question about the modem.

checked with Plusnet and they did not know if you can bridge their HUB1 but reading community page some were adamant it is no longer possible. So followed advice and bought a new DrayTek Vigor 130 modem to link my ORBI RBR350. Following several (10) days and several hours of back and forth between DrayTek helpdesk and Netgear helpdesk we were unable to make an internet connection. I think the issue was with the DrayTek as although the helpdesk was saying it was connecting to the internet we could never get to a website bi-passing the router and connecting directly to a laptop via cable. Plugging the Plusnet HUB1 back in gave an internet connection every time. in the end i was switching various DrayTek settings on and off and re-booting and factory resetting many times and eventually after all these days the router/modem made the connection. Unfortunately I have no idea what was the key element that triggered the modem and/or router to link to the internet.

Glad you managed to get it sorted in the end.
I'm not familiar with the Vigor 130 but I've read good things (I use the HG612), but I presume it is set in Bridge Mode using PPPoE?
