Orbi RBR350 incompatibility with Roborock S7 vaccuum
Recently purchased a Roborok S7 robot vacuum and although it said it would only connect to 2.4g networks, it connected ok to my Orbi RBR350 (plus 1 x satellite). Last week it fell off the network s...

I've got a roborock s7 and I've had no issues connecting it to any of my routers. And that's including RAX200, RAXE500, RBK50, RBK750, RBKE963, and multiple other models. So I'd start looking at what the orbi is connected to.
What modem is it connected to?
What error does the roborock give you when it doesn't connect?

Thanks, good to hear from a fellow user that has it working!
It is a very basic Vodafone Ultra Hub, had it for a few years.
Roborock error code is (-21012). When I try and reset the wifi on the robot, my app locates it, pre-populates with my wifi and details. Of the next 3 checks, the phone connects to the device, transfers info, but won't connect.
Sorry, very much a novice and glad of your help.

More than likely that vodafone hub has its own integrated router and it causes a double nat. Some devices don't have issues with double nat's but some do.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

Vodafone is a UK thing and most ISPs here insist on supplying modem/routers. And many of those don't have a convenient bridge (modem only) mode setting.

I went to point 3 first (didnt seem I could easily turn the VF modem into bridge only, and #2 looked a bit harder). This was easy enough and I was able to put the Orbi into AP mode.
Now when I open the app, it shows both 2.4 and 5g networks - presto!
However, still getting the same error from the Roborok when I try the wifi reset 😠 I even tried rebooting the robot but something is still blocking it.. tries to connect to it's own network, and eventually comes up with the same error code (-21012)
Glad of any further thoughts before I back out of AP mode and try your #2

Have you checked with roborock?
