Orbi RBR750 & Qualcomm Atheros QCNFA765
Hi,
I received a new laptop two weeks ago, a Lenovo Thinkpad Z13 equipped with a Qualcomm wifi card. I've had zero issues with my Orbi mesh network so far and I'm quite happy with it to be honest. However, this new laptop is not working correctly with my wifi setup. It works fine for a few minutes, then the incoming data stalls completely and after 30 seconds or so it recovers again.
It took me about a week or so to find the root cause; I found out I only had issues on my own wireless network at home. When in the office or using the hotspot network on my phone I have zero issues.
A workaround for the Orbi issue is to disable WMM on the Orbi router (RBR750). After doing this for the 5Ghz network the connection is stable again. But to my surprise, it also kills the performance for all machines that connect on 5Ghz (with WMM enabled: about 600 Mbps - with WMM disabled: 25 Mbps). So disabling WMM is not an option it seems.
Some general info:
1 RBR, 2 RBS
Firmware version V4.6.14.3_2.3.12
2 152 sq ft home
Any other suggestions perhaps?

to go along with this you might also try directly updating the qualcomm card's driver from qualcomm and not through windows. That sometimes helps.

I run Linux on this laptop so I'm completely dependent on the kernel. I have this issue with every kernel >5.15 but only on my home network which is weird. The card works fine with every kernel on every other wireless network it has been connected to.
And unfortunately I haven't received an e-mail (yet) with a link to the beta firmware.
Are you using wpa3?
have you tried setting it to wpa2 and seeing if it helps?
