Is this an issue with security settings on the PC not allowing access to add a new network or is there a conflict with reusing the same SSID/security key and this PC was.not available when this change occurred?
I agree with the other posters that (a) there is absolutely no conflict with reusing the same SSID/password. This is what I do every time I replace a WiFi router. (b) This PC not being present for the switch has no effect. and (c) There should have been no need to manually enter the SSID/password to connect. The laptop should have displayed the Orbi as one of the available WiFi networks. Did the Orbi WiFi not show up, or did you go straight to "Enter a new network.."
My guess is "couldn't add the new network" is most likely the password being entered incorrectly. (Caps Lock on, for example).
