Orbi RBR750 ethernet outs randomly stop working
Hello,
Hope someone has a suggestion to help. I have RBR750, worked pretty good for a around 2 year minus the usual hiccups that Comcast service provides.
Comcast had some rough patches this summer, lots of outages, sometimes 20 drops a day.
In this time, kept noticing my 2 satellites to the RBR750 are more purple than not.
FF some weeks, comcast seems to have fixed issues. But now all the hard wired items keep dropping out. Sometimes they came back in 5 min or so, but sometimes not, have to pull plug on the Orbi router, then wait maybe 5 minutes or so.
I have out of the router, cat6 to netgear 308 which then runs to each Orbi satellite as well as to some direct devices.
I also use another cat6 out of the router (it is in my office) to a negear gs105 switch. This switch feeds my 4 computers in the office.
When the ethernet outs seem to lose a signal, wifi is rocking and has no issues. I just see my satellites go purple often and my office computer show no internet.
Very random when this occurs, but few times a day now, and random in what fixes, as pulling plug on the router "usually" gets the cat6 wired things going in about 5 minutes (wife is back up in a minute). But sometimes they drop again, and come back on their own in 5 min. I was thinking it was my gs105 as I swapped to that above mentioned 308 for the one switch, but didn't seem to change much. Again wifi never drops during any of this, all devices that are connected to the wifi still have fast internet.

Does this happen if you directly connect the RBS to the back of the RBR?
Does this happen if you disconnect the RBS from the Switch and allow them to wirelessly connect to the RBR?

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:

Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.
