There we are. RBS350s. So you have different RBS model and this would be the RBS650 series.
You'll need to get the 350 updated to v.31 here first:
Then you'll need to downgrade the RBR to same version afterwards to same version.
Then factory reset and setup from scratch and then disable auto update on the RBR to prevent it from updating to anything newer. As there is no v.15 FW yet available for the RBS350 series.

do the satellites work if you hardwire them in?

Yes, hardwired worked. Can go to assigned IP address and see status. Shows up at RBS 350 and FW version is: V4.6.3.16
It is listed in Netgear web app Attached Devices in Connected Devices. Does not show up in Connected Satellites.

Yes, now that RBR750 and RBS350's are on backreved FW all is well. Disabled FW auto updates.
I am kinda confused about why Netgear installs inappropriate FW on a device when auto updates are on??
