Orbi rbr850 + 2 rbs850 FW 7.2.6.31
Hi guys I have been running RBR850 + two satellites since 2020 and have never had any issues. I have BT 1gb fttp and my speeds are consistent. FW up to date on the rbr and RBs 7.2.6.31. My issue...
There are a host of things that can cause a network interruption:
- Congestion
- Physical problems with cables (squirrels LOVE coax cable)
- Loose connections
- Issues with Internet Service Provider equipment (modem, Optical Network Termination unit (ONT), etc.)
- The user WiFi router
- The user device
One step often recommended is to connect the user device directly to the ISP device. Work meetings are sort of critical, so it might be worth considering if the problem occurs reliably. (Intermittent issues are frustrating to diagnose.) If the laptop has no Ethernet port, Ethernet to USB adapters are under $15 on Amazon.
When the problem occurs, does the laptop display a notice about losing WiFi?
Thanks, both. Pretty sure it's since latest FW applied but cannot be 100%.
Ill plug the work laptop using the ethernet tomorrow direct into rbr whilst the personal laptop is left on WiFi. Then tick off the rest after that!
