Orbi RBR850 will not connect to Starlink
I know there are a lot of other posts on this subject, but they all lead to a solution of adding a switch in between the Orbi and Starlink - which did not work for me. Things I've tried: Puttin...

Did you try connecting the orbi to the starlink but put the orbi in access point mode? (have starlink in router mode)

Good point - I have not - I'll try that this evening. Does it matter which port I use on the Orbi, since one is labelled internet?

Oh jeez - I just noticed that I have the PPPoE username and password configured for the current ISP ...sigh. I'm going to reset that to not require a login and see if that allows me to connect in bridge mode, if not perhaps the switch will work this time.
Question on the port though. I have two available ports for the external connection:
- Internet port (2.5Gbps)
- WAN aggregation (2.5Gbps + 1 Gbps, LACP-IEEE802.3ad)
Does it matter which one I select?
Cheers

Use
- Internet port (2.5Gbps)

yeah, old settings could cause issues. I might even just try a factory reset and start back from stock in case you changed anything else that causes issues.
But FURRYe38 is right, use the 2.5gig internet port for connection

Thank you! After many tries, I got it working.
I reset Orbi to factory - then went through the setup process. The Orbi app kept telling me there was no internet connection so I went back to my Mac and logged in through orbilogin.net with the aim of restoring from backup. The odd thing was the online portal could see the internet, whereas the Orbi app could not. I finished configuring Orbi through the online portal.
So current setup is:
- Starlink is NOT in bypass mode
- Installed GS108T network switch
- Connected Starlink to the switch
- Orbi factory reset
- Connected Orbi to the network switch - success!
If I have issues with double NAT I'll try putting Starlink in bypass mode but, for now, since it's working I'm leaving it alone!
Cheers
