ORBI RBRE960 Solid Red Light
What does a sold red connection status light on the Orbi RBRE960 mean? I've had intermittent connection issues and now it is totally down and unable to connect to my network and keeps returning to th...

It's the front LED showing connection status that's Red. The power LED on the back is Green. The page showing what colors mean doesn't list that color for the front LED.
I've checked all the cables and connections. The modem is good and all ISP tests look good. A different router works fine with the modem.
I'm running latest firmware on the router and satellites v7.2.6.31.
I've done a factory reset on the router and that got it working again. However, now I can't get the satellites which are hard wired to sync. I'm probably going to have to do factory resets on those unless I figure something else out.
Weird thing about the satellites is that when the router found them, their SNs in the app don't match what's on the labels, but the mac addresses do match.
This has all been working fine for months except for some intermittent connection issues during the past week. And then this morning found the solid Red LED on and no internet connection. No number of resets or power cycling did anything, but the factory reset at least got the router working again.

Did you update the RBS first then the RBR lastly?
When factory resetting, ensure you reset both RBS and the RBR as well.
This is best method for factory resetting the system if you need to is here:
Most of the front LED issues maybe coming from the ISP modem as that is one indicator that the ISP Modem isn't giving the RBR a good signal or there is signal loss there.

I found out that the Red LED apparently means the router is not getting a signal from the modem (Netgear support helped me figure that out) - even though all the lights on the modem looked good and connectivity test from the ISP support portal showed service was good.
Anyway, I've resolved the issue.
I did have to do factory resets on both the satellites and router for them to sync back up. Thanks to FURRYe38 for the link to the instructions for that.
Still not sure why factory resets resolved this if it was due to signal loss unless the LED status got hung in that state and took the reset to clear it.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
