Hello!
Model # BE489WB (https://www.schlage.com/en/home/products/BE489WBCAMFFF.html#)
From what I've researched too, it should only pickup the 2.4G channel too just like you said. I'd say the lock is roughly 5-8 feet from our modem and router. We have Spectrum as our internet provider and use their modem. The other lock is roughly 5-8 feet from one of the Orbi Satellites.
Because the lock is so close to the router, do you think an extender is necessary? I had thought about getting one as a hail-mary because I am willing to try everything at this point. I think there is an outlet right by the front door that it could plug in to and allow for a clear line of sight to the lock.
This home is a short-term rental and guests get their own unique code when they book, but if the lock goes offline our system cannot put the code into the lock and it's a whole annoying thing on our end. I just need the dang lock to stay on wifi all the time. #technology

Took a while, but it is confirmed:
- How often is "constantly"?
- Do both locks disconnect, or one more than the other?
- What does it take to get the locks to reconnect?
Unless there is something like a solid concrete wall between the Orbi WiFi unit and the lock, then installing a WiFi extender would seem unnecessary. If your smartphone has a WiFi Analyzer app (there are dozens), it would be relatively simple to hold the phone close to the lock and observe the WiFi signal strength of the 2.4G channel.
