In the latest firmware, telnet is always enabled, so there is no checkbox for that any longer.

I have been trying to reply to your post with a statement that the telnet interface is not automatically enabled after a reboot and with instructions on how to enable it.
Because otherwise, wow.

Possible that did you have telnet enabled already and upgraded FW since prior version that had telnet as a debug web page available in the UI and have not done a factory reset? I've done a reset and telnet is not enabled for me. I would presume that by default telnet is not enabled if a FW update and factory reset is performed.

I'm on an AX6000 and I can't get 2nd wifi split out to survive a reboot.
If I run
uci set wireless.FhAp2.ssid="WiFi2GName"
uci commit
/etc/init.d/wireless restartThis will make a 2nd wifi show up for a period of time until a reboot.
Also "config" is not on the system.
And with nvram, wl_ssid is always set to NETGEAR no matter what I do, and setting wla_ssid only changed the wifi name in the netgear UI nowhere else. setting wlh_ssid will change both the 2G and 5G ssid.
Any suggestions?

has no one found a solution for this, NG is seriously being ret@rted here, It's not like we're trying to unlock their software for free games but to avoid having our phones and devices auto connect to bands we DON'T want to use, WTF is the point of purchasing a $500 dollar+ item, we are power users not idiotic apple users that want one touch simplicity.
I've spent over 3 hours today trying to find a solution, will probably send this back to Costco pronto.
