Yes, 8 series is removed and turned off. I’ve tried all of those steps, but the app doesn’t have an option to delete that setup. When asking for the new setup, it defaults to an out of the box setup process and doesn’t recognize that I’ve already configured it manually.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Well if you have the 8 series off and run thru the new setup and set 0 RBS it should connect to the 9 series. I also noticed that the app preferred the 8 series when I had it online. But after I turned it OFF, it sees my 9 series fine...
Can you set up Orbi app on a different mobile device?

Here goes...
I have the Orbi iOS app. version 2.12.5.56
Router Firrmware version is V6.0.3.68_3.1.9
Note: I am using my Orbi as an AP in conjuction with a Firewalla Gold that is set up as the router. I don't know if that would make a difference, but I wanted to make sure I let you know it is not in router mode.
