This annoying situation is caused by the way modern browsers have evolved to protect users.
The solution is to use a browser that will allow you to select a link (usually in smaller type toward the bottom of the page) that will allow you to "go there anyway".
Modern browsers are bothered by both the http (unencrypted) and the https(encrypted) versions of the Orbi web interface:
http is, by definition, "insecure" because everything is sent across the network in plain text. Never mind that the user might be connected directly to the router with a cable and thus it is physically impossible to intercept the data.
https, although encrypted, uses a Self-Signed SSL certificate. Browsers do not trust Self-Signed certificates. For many years, Netgear had registered a number of URLs with certificate authorities as belonging to Netgear. (routerlogin.com, routerlogin.net, orbilogin.com, orbilogin.net, etc.) But, this router does not belong to Netgear. It belongs to YOU. You are not Netgear. When Netgear lost those URLs, they put a Self-Signed certificate in the router. But now web browsers scream "insecure". Never mind that you are connected directly to this router with a cable and know damn well who it belongs to.
I get this error on Chrome every time I clear cache
So I click on the "Advanced" option, which brings up this:
Annoys me a bunch. I have found that most browsers "remember" that I told them to let me go where I want to go.

p.s. When the router is Factory Reset, the user name is "admin" and the password is "password" (no capitals)
The web interface does not use the same credentials as the Orbi 'app'
