All Netgear routers (Nighthawk and Orbi) are designed to have the WAN (yellow) port connected to the internet source. This 860 model appears to have been designed specifically for those customers who have upgraded to very high speed ISP connections. (hence the 10G Ethernet port which is capable of 10, 5, 2.5, and 1 gigabit connections).

Already the 850 and 840 model does support a 2.5 GbE WAN port. All 860, 850, and 840 allow using an existing CPE, permitting it does support dynamic LACP, WAN aggregation (10 Gbps + 1 Gbps, LACP-IEEE802.3ad on the 860, and 2.5 Gbps + 1 Gbps, LACP-IEEE802.3ad on the 850/840).
