Ping issues with RBR50 router

I have an RBR850 router with 2 additional satellites with the router being on the lowest floor and a satellite in each of the 2 floors above it. I have had it for about half a year and for wireless connections I have barely had any problems. However all of a sudden, when gaming have been getting very frequent ping spikes when on the top floor that rebooting the router only fixes for a day. I have had this exact problem with my previous Orbi where it doesn't happen until after months. I haven't changed any settings and firmware updates haven't helped. Turning off things like WMM and UPnP haven't helped either.
