Power supply issue with RBR850

Have tried power supplies from the satellite as well with no joy. The power led on the Router remains amber and the unit does not attempt to bootup. Indicated by the absence of any lights to the front. I think the issue is the power supply on the board itself. I'm not an expert but it seems the issue is not a trivial one. Am surprised that it only lasted 3 years.
Thanks for the explanation. I missed the part where the satellite power supply was also ineffectual.
Also surprised about the failure. My RBR50 is still going strong after 6 1/2 years.
