When investigating this sort of situation, it is often helpful to have a clear understanding of "the problem". Although to the user it may seem the same, there is a huge difference between:
- The WiFi system no longer broadcasting the WiFi SSID and allowing client devices to connect. In this case, devices connected with Ethernet cables may continue to work.
- The WiFi system continuing to function locally, but devices having no internet access (of any kind).
- The WiFi system and internet access functioning, but common apps such web browsing, streaming, email, not working (which is often a result of DNS resolution failing). Activities that do not require resolving URLs may continue to work. (such as ICMP - 'pinging' an internet resource by IP address.)

Its only the Internet connection that drops- wifi and Lan are fine. App does not report issues.
