Might see if the ISP router has a DMZ option for the RBRs IP address it gets. Your in a double NAT condition. The DMZ will help with this.
Or try AP mode on the Orbi system.

The connection uptime there is good/consistent and does certainly not correspond to the frequent dropping of the Internet connection on the Orbi. I have tried a factory reset, reset the router, all to no avail. It happens all the time and at random moments. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a while, like a few hours, and sometimes it is just losing the connection, coming back, and loses it again all in less than 5 minutes. Sometimes it just remains purple for 10 minutes. I am getting very frustrated and about to throw the system out, the problem is other mesh systems couldn't provide the strong wireless backhaul connection to the satellite.
I am thinking it maybe has to do with allocation of IP addresses by the Zyxel and Orbi. That they conflict each other from time to time for whatever reason. I am no expert, but DHCP is switched on both devices. That is good, no? Any other ideas??
