Question about RBK852 and satellites from RBK853

Hello. I recently bought an orbi 850 (RBK852 cause of 1 extra satellites i guess).

I need more satellites and was wondering if i buy another RBK853 (2 extra satellites) i could add these 2 satelites to my existing system as I have another place i can just use the router.

Appreciate if anyone could answer me if it would work to add the two satellites from the RBK853 to my existing RBK852 system.

Thnx in advance.

Yes. Can use RBS from other systems. Just make sure that all FW across all units is the same.

I might factory reset the incoming RBS then use the RBRs Add Satellite function to sync and add the incoming RBS to the RBR.

    Hello Winterstorm ,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you would like to add additional satellites to your RBK853.

FURRYe38 is correct, the satellites must have the correct firmware installed for optimal network compatibility.

We recommend a maximum of 4 satellites for Wi-Fi 6 Orbi Mesh systems.
