RBK 853 Orbi - extending the network

is it possible to extend the RBK 853 (3 nodes) to 4 or 5 for a bigger house.

Second, is their an outdoor extension option?

Thanks,

  • Have not gotten any official word on how many RBSs will be supported by NG. Orib AC users have posted having 6 RBS to 1 RBR thought NG doesn't officially support that. They mentioned for AC NG supports 4.

My house is 5000sqft and 1 RBS worked well. I have two now.

30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

No information on a RBSY AX yet for outdoors.
