What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Hi!
FW on the NG router is 4.3.4.7_1.9.53 and on the satellite it's 4.3.4.7.
The modem from my provider (Vodafone) is labelled Arris Touchstone TG3442DE.
I'd estimate the distance (beeline) between the router and the 1st floor RBS is about 12-15 feet, and the distance between the 1st floor RBS and the 2nd floor RBS is around 15 ft. Of course they're all separated by solid concrete walls.

Concrete and steel will impact wifi signal and coverage. Not sure if the 3 series system will be good enough to work thru concrete.
Also your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

I had Wifi disabled already as I have run an Amplifi HD system before.
I asked Vodafone to set the modem to bridge mode, but they said it will take a week for the changes to take effect...? :smileyfrustrated:
For now I've set the Orbi to AP mode instead of router.
Dumb question: how would I set the Orbi back into router mode? I can't open its UI from 192.168.1.1 when it's in AP mode...
