RBK750 port aggregation with cm2050v
So I now have a CM2050V with a single 2.5gb port on the back, looking to get the fastest speed to my RBK750. I'm not the most savvy, but is it feasible to run an ethernet to a 2.5gb switch from the ...

does it make sense? Sure.
will it work? No.
The problem is the ISP only assigns 1 public ip address. You'd have to buy a pretty high-end switch to get multigig connections, link aggregation, and routing function.
the investment probably wouldn't be worth the slight increase in speed you'd get going from 1 gig to multigig.
And most services won't take advantage of multigig anyway. Streaming only takes 25-40 mbps.
It only really helps if you move massive amounts a data frequently.

I think it might actually work. How much are you willing to spend to find out?
For example, $70 on Amazon:
The switch supports 2.5G to one port on the switch
The RBR750 supports Link Aggregation for the WAN port and one LAN port into two ports on the switch.
Connect nothing else to the switch.

makes me curious if that would work. Not sure how the ISP assigns the IP and that switch is able to use it. I'm not a switch guru so I have no idea if that switch is capable of assigning private IP addresses/managing DHCP at that price point. If you tried it, I'd try it right away in case it doesn't work so you can return it (and then I can snag it from the warehouse đ).
