Netgear.. This is how you lose customers and you're about to lose a lot of them.. The ones complaining right now, are only the customers who pay attention or manage their hardware themselves. I'd suggest listening and getting that fw fix out with a quickness.. Undo the sneaky move you pulled with disabling manual fw downgrades and our ability to disable auto-updates, before you permanently damage your reputation in this market..
