RBK752 Real World WIFI Speeds
Won't let me put in the crrect model number for some reason. I have the RBK752 system (AX4200). I have a Gigabit connection and am able to get speeds over 900Mbps to my router consistently. When I am hard wiored, this is the speed I usually get. However, my average WIFI speeds are under 500Mbps, sometimes beloiw 300Mbps. I am losing half my speeds over WIFI. This is 5Ghz on a Macbook Pro and iPhone 11 Pro. Shouldn't this Mesh system be able to give me full speeds on a 5Ghz connection? It's rated at 1200Mbps. WHy am I losing so much speed?

Depending on support and design of wifi devices, mimo, antenna configuration, 2x2 or 3x3 or 4x4, you may not see anything near 900Mpbs on wireless. For AC devices, they usually max out at around 400-500. While I was surpised seeing 700 on my MBP 2018.

So I'm on a newer MacBook Pro on 5Ghz. I'm 3 feet away from the router. And then I also have an iPhone 11 Pro. What speeds should I expect on these devices? I already chatted and talked directly with multiple tech supports and they had me make tweaks to settings. But nothing really improved it. I spent almoist $500 on this mesh WIFI system and it seems pretty slow to me. Losing half my speed compared to wired.

The wifi speed limitation is mostly in your wifi clients. You purchased an AX system but only very new clients, like iPhone 11 Pro and later, support wifi 6. These clients can achieve 600 or 700 Mbps over wifi but older clients will get much less (even on 5Ghz). For best results test your speeds using speedtest.net app or wifi, not the Orbi measurement. Mac wifi cards have also been reported by some posts as slow.
Another thing to check is that your ISP modem is bridged to your Orbi, otherwise your home network is traversing through multiple routers. If the Your IP shown in https://canyouseeme.org/ is not the Internet Port IP shown by http://orbilogin.com/ Advanced, then your modem is not bridged and you have Double NAT.
