RBK753S - 3 Story House Placement
Bought the RBK753S 3 pack from Costco.
Have a 3 story house - almost 6,000 Sq ft
Equipment closet is in the basement - so the most desirable loaction for the router would be in the basement rack.
Have ethernet everywhere - so the other 2 satelites will be hard wired.
So since everything is hard wired, am I correct in assuming that the router and satellites won't talk to each other - so it's irrelevant which floor has the router?

If you have ethernet cable on first floor, and the cable go to a switch connected to the ISP modem, put your orbi router on the first floor. Then you can place your satellites where you want them. Yes they will all talk to each other, you will just not be using the fast wireless backhaul, as you will be Gigabit wired.
Basements are not recommended places for main host wifi routers.
You can ethernet conenct RBR and RBS as well:
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
