RBK852 - disable internet button - does it work?

I've got the RBK852 (for some reason not available in the model selction here).  

Two questions for you:

1 - How long does it take to disable internet once you flip the switch on a device via mobile app or web interface?

2 - Does it even work?

It takes quite a while for that switch to take affect - if ever sometimes.  It's certainly not immediate for me.
