- Jan 27, 2021The solution is that Netgear has no reason to fix the automatic process as everyone just keeps telling people to needlessly upgrade it manually.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
It's recommended to avoid using the Orbi app to update FW. Use the RBRs FW update web page or manually update using downloaded files.
