RBK853 constantly throttles iPad/macbook and has to be rebooted.
Netgear RBK853 with 2 satellites. Lots of devices. 1 gb internet. Apple TV and iPhone (14 pro max) regularly get 400-500 mb/s.
IPad Pro M2 always drops to 2 mb/s. Same with my MacBook.
It happens about every week. I’ve tried resetting the iPad and MacBook. Resetting network settings. Forgetting the WiFi, etc.
I called netgear and they had no answer except to pay them like $200 for a tech support plan.
If I power cycle the RBK853, when it comes back online, my iPad gets 400-500 mb/s just like my phone. But within a week, the speed has dropped back down.
I’ve logged into the router and confirmed that it’s connected… it’s just not given any bandwidth by the router.
Any thoughts?? Anyone had this problem??

what modem/gateway is it connected to?
What firmware is on the router/satellites?
It only happens to iOS devices?
Did you disable icloud relay and private mac/ip address?
Hmmm... not sure about the modem, but its a 1 gig cable modem connected by ethernet.
When this happens, if I run the speed test, I get 800-1000 mb/s on the orbit speed test and 300-500 mb/s on other devices.
I only run iOS and MacOS and TvOS devices.
Just tried disabling those. Maybe that helps longterm. But it definitely doesn't fix the problem immediately. I tried turning those off and I still had to reset the RBK853 to fix the speed. (RBK853 is on whatever the newest firmware is.)
I guess I’m the only one with this problem…. Terrible.
My iPad goes from 500 mb/s to 5mb/s download from one day to the next with no change in my actual delivered modem internet speed.
