Hi,
Yeah they say, that they support 2,4 an 5 GHz. But I searched a little bit in the internet and some meant, you should try the IOT WiFi with 2,4 ghz only.
Never had any problems with any devices to connect with my WiFi.

The setup instructions do not mention red/blue blinking:
At which step in the setup does it fail?

Does the Ring app show the password, or is it one of those things that only shows 'dots'?
I'd suspect a typing error, since the correct WiFi network appeared in the list of available systems.

Yeah, it just Shows dots. Gut also tried to put in a wrong password, then the Camera shows a red light. It is for sure the right password, because i see the new ring device online in my device Manager in the Orbi App.
