RBR50 as extender to RBRE960 + (2) RBSE960
I upgraded my Orbi system from the AC3000 (RBR50 + RBS50) to the Orbi 960 Series (RBRE960 + (2) RBSE960). Is it possible to use the older Orbi router and/or satellite to extend the new AX11000 system...

No as the Orb AC series is NOT compatible with Orbi AX or AXE.

Depending on size of home, the 960 series you have should be suffient and offer better wifi coverage and performances than the Orbi AC series.

Thank you FURRYe38 for that information! The new system does indeed provide faster WiFi and better coverage than my old AC system. I suspect I will not miss the old system much at all. Since the old system still works I thought I would use it along side the new system, if compatible. Since it is not I will see if I can find someone who has something older that might want that system as an upgrade. Cheers!

You should be good with the 960 alone. I'm enjoying mine currently. Ya I do have the 50 series as well. It's in it's box and used for reference testing when needed. You could keep it as a Just In Case kind of thing. Or find it a new good home that needs good wifi.
Good Luck.
