RBR750 - How to make a device invisible outside of local network?
I have a Synology NAS on my network that is constantly a target of outside threats. I have a ORBI RBR750 Router attached to my Xfinity Modem.
How can I make the NAS not visible from outside my local network? I never need to access it outside my home. I don't need a set of instructions if pointing me to a reference would work.
Thanks

Might be something to ask the NAS mfr about.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products:

Please use this link to the main forum product list to review and choose where to make your posts.

There are only two ways the NAS could be visible outside the local LAN:
- If you deliberately forwarded ports through the router to the Synology.
This would be done using the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Advanced Settings (bottom menu item), Port Forwarding menu.
(From the problem description, it appears unlikely that you did this intentionally.) - If the feature Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) feature is enabled.
This is also controlled on the web interface, Advanced Tab, Advanced Settings menu. Select UPnP.
UPnP is a wonderfully convenient method for devices to make themselves available without any user action.
I believe that the default setting for UPnP may be "on", thus you may not have intentionally enabled this, either.
Navigate to that menu and set UPnP to "off", then click on "Apply" (top of screen).
