RBR750 - using a certain Wifi SSID doesn't work but any other SSID does?
I have the Orbi Mesh RBR750, firmware V4.6.14.3_2.3.12. Recently it hasn't been working well; it's hit or miss if devices can connect to the main WiFi network SSID, let's call it "Main". I've power c...

So the SSID name of Main doesn't allow mobile devices to connect?
Would be curious if you disabled WPA security on the RBR temporarily, while using SSID name of Main, does any mobile connect then? Re-enable WPA2 and AES after testing.
What devices are you trying to connect?
For Apple and Android be sure that MAC ADDRESS randomizer features are disabled while at home:

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I tried that, but it also did not work. I am just resolved to use a new network name and re-connect all my devices. That will take a while but by the time I figure out what is going - if that would even happen - I could have connected devices to the new SSID.
Thanks again.

What was the problem SSID name that you were trying to use on the RBR750?

2.4 Lake George
How would that make a difference?

Does
24 Lake George or 24LakeGeorge work?
I'll try SSID on mine and see. I don't put any special characters in SSID names. A space should not effect. I have on in mine. Just no special characters like (.) so possible that could be causing problems.

This is very strange. I have an RBR750 running 4.6.14.3.
- On the Basic Tab, Wireless menu, renamed the WiFi to "2.4 Lake George" (with space between words"
- After the router went through its "waiting... waiting... waiting", the WiFi SSID "2.4 Lake George" appeared on a Samsung Galaxy tablet.
- Input the password and the tablet connected.
- Then changed back to the default SSID, in this case "ORBI63". That took immediately as well.
On message #5 there is this statement: " When I went through the process to set-up the Orbi, if I put in the old WiFi network name as the "new" network name,"
The Wireless menu has only one field for WiFi SSID. That statement was not referring to a web page with two fields was it?

Thanks for trying, but it's not the name itself that's the issue (the characters, spacing, etc.). It's just that specific name - which worked before. It's odd, but I doubt we'll ever figure it out. Thanks for trying to help!
