The RBS40V cannot be part of the RBR750 system as a "mesh satellite". Notice the footnote in this table:

If put into "Extender Mode", the RBS40V satellite will connect to the 750 system and function as a WiFi Extender, just as it would with any brand of WiFi system. The issue is that devices will not roam seamlessly between the RBS40V and the other Orbi units. The only devices to be affected are mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops). Devices which do not move will function with no problem.
Yes, it is truly annoying that Netgear designed the product this way. But, "that's life".
