4,000, 2-story. Modem and router upstairs, 1 satellite in living room and 1 in the kitchen (both downstairs).

What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
About 30 feet between the two satellites. More than that from the router to either satellite.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.

The main (family) network is 5GHz. The guest network is 2.4GHz, both password-protected with different passwords. I cannot change settings as I don't have access to the router.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

There are 6 or 7 Wifi networks that show up on my MacBook Pro. All of them are password-protected.

d Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set CTS to 2347. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s). Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Setting

I can't do any of this as I don't have access to the router.

I appreciate your help, and I see that you are a major contributor here and obviously very techincally-minded. But this goes to my main issue; this is a consumer product and Wifi technology is more than 2 decades old. If I wanted to be a network administrator I would have bought a commercial-level product like Ubiquiti. I don't and I didn't.

If I ever get router access back I will try your suggestions. I am giving NG until next week and if I can't get access and can't stop dropouts I will be returning it to Costco if I can.

I just want something that can cover my house, provide 200Mbs download speed, and can stay up and running without a babysitter. I don't think I'm asking for a lot, especially considering the price of these units.
