This just happened to me too - one of my Orbi RBS 750 bricked after an update to 4.6.3.7. The router and other satellite updated fine, the second satellite just choked and died. It no longer broadcasts my wifi network name like the other two still do and instead has network names of "Guest" "Backhaul" and "whc-12345". It also no longer shows up as Netgear branded in Wifi Explorer - it now is Atheros Communications or something like that.
I've reset it 20 times, rebooted it 20 times, ethernet-ed it to the router, tried to TFTP the firmware to it (that was hairy), and generally done everything a pro-sumer customer like me would do. Still no luck to get it back to my network name, connect to my network, or even get the factory ORBIxx network.
Given this was my third Orbi system, which have all worked pretty well (SRR for office, RBK50 for prior home, and now RBK 753 for current home), I thought I would call the support line. Three hours, two disconnected calls, and four operators later I have the replacement ordered. But have to pay the 20 shipping!
Moral of the story - dont use this firmware yet and prepare to pay shipping if you were sold a lemon.
