RBR750 Satellite connected to router but won't connect to devices
Hi all, I have the RBR750 which is on firmware v4.6.8.2 and also have a satellite. I've been having spotty connection in parts of my house so was hunting around to figure out why. It looks like...

Is FW same version on RBS as whats on the RBR?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Thank you for getting back to me. To answer a couple of your questions.
- Home is approximately 4,000 sq ft
- I'm in a dense suburban area so yes there are a lot of nearby neighbors with wifi
- The router is in the basement and satellite is probably 25ft across the house and up one floor
- I honestly don't know what firmware the satellite is on, that shows blank on the app and don't know how to tell or change the channels.

For this size of home you may only need one RBS deployed. Having too much wifi signals in the home can cause problems.
I would turn OFF one RBS and see how things work.

What channels are you using? You can see this on the RBRs web page in a web browser.

Two issues here:
1. Basements is not recommended location for the RBR. Concrete and steel can cause wifi problems.
2. 25 feet is too close between the RBS and RBR. 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Can you access the RBS web page using it's IP address in a web browser?
Can change channels and such using the RBRs web page in a web browser.
- DperkOct 22, 2022AspirantAll firmware matches on all 3 units. I have moved the affected satellite and the problem follows it. Connects to router but no devices connect to the satellite. The other satellite appears to work perfectly.

On my Orbi 'app', the firmware version is displayed when I select the Network Map by tapping the picture at the top, then select the router itself on the Map, then select 'Details'.
FURRYe38 is correct. The Orbi app is not capable of selecting channels (or much else).

Ok thank you again for the feedback (clearly i am not a tech person but trying!)
- I've made it into the web page for the router and changed channels but not sure that has done anything - everything still connected to the router
- I've also moved the satellite more than 30 feet away and rebooted the system - again everything still pulling from the router.
- I tried entering the IP address for the satellite into an internet window but it won't let me access that satellite like i can the main router to check channels and if it is properly updated.
Any other advice would be hugely helpful!
