Is this problem constant or intermittant? Devices work correctly some times, or never?

Right now, nothing seems to be working. The tv, which is wired to the router, usually streamed without issue but was slow to load shows. Mobile devices connected to the wifi seem to be the biggest problem. Super slow browsing, if it worked at all.
So I guess the answer is intermittent, but until today it wasn't a total outage just real bad internet speeds on the wifi even though the router said it had good download speeds and I know it's not the modem or ISP

The Orbi 'app' is not well equipped to handle unusual circumstances. Do you have some device that can access the router web management interface? (PC, laptop, tablet? phone screens are too small to be useful with the Orbi web interface).
Two things that are useful to know:
- What firmware is on the 750 router?
(The app will display this on the device screen. The current firmware for the 750 is v4.6.8.2 which came out on April 27, 2022. - Is there actually internet access, but the Domain Name Service (DNS) resolution is not working?
This can be tested by using some app that can 'ping' IP addresses. PCs and laptops can open a "command window" where the user can type a command, such as ping 1.1.1.1.
Android phones have several apps that can do this, including Fing, Network Analyzer, Network Tools.
If a ping to ford.com fails, but a ping to 19.12.97.37 works, then the issue is with DNS.
When you mentioned reset, was that a Factory Reset?

I went to check the firmware and now the router seems to be offline. In the network map in the app, the dot is grey instead of green.
My firmware is V4.6.5.14

This is really annoying because grey is not one of the possible colors:
(Grey obviously IS a possible color, because a number of users have reported seeing grey. But, I have no idea what the heck it indicates.)
At this point, I have no suggestions except:
- Download the new firmware files from the Netgear support site
(For both router and satellite) - Use a computer to 'unziip' those two files to extract the firmware files.
https://kb.netgear.com/000064878/RBR750-RBS750-Firmware-Version-4-6-8-2 - Get out a paperclip and do a Factory Reset on the router.
- Connect the computer to the router either using Ethernet cable or WiFi and open a web browser to 192.168.1.1
The user name is always "admin" and the password will be "password". - Follow the setup far enough that the menu appears and then navigate to the Advanced Tab, Administration, Firmware Update selection.
- Try the Automatic Update option.
- If it does not work, click on the Manual Update tab and update the system.
Sucks big time. Customers should not have to do this.
- Download the new firmware files from the Netgear support site

I got the router back online but it keeps telling me there are no firmware updates available.
