RBR750 Solid Magenta (no internet) after Xfinity Service Outage
I lost internet service during an Xfinity outage and my RBR750 system never came back online after the service outage.
I use a personal DOCSIS 3.1 modem and my internet is fine when I am on LAN directly to modem but the Orbi router base stays "offline".
Multiple resets of the router and modem have not changed anything with the router status. New cables and ports also did not improve things.
The Router internet settings in the app show 0.0.0.0 for everything despite the LAN outputs of the modem working fine.
Is this a known issue?
- Thanks for the help. My router system is now working.
My MAC address was re-assigned to my PC during my troubleshooting instead of my router after the outage when service came back. I assume xfinity only allows one device to have access at a time.
A combination of modem reset and xfinity “reset” resolved my issue…I did these steps multiple times but it is important to do them together and in specific sequences.
I think the issue can be avoided by not plugging your PC directly to the modem when the initial device assignment occurs.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Is the front LED PINK?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.

Just Complete, LED still Pink.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.Which port on the CM modem is the RBR connected too. Be sure the RBR is the only wired device connected to the CM modem. RBR should be in port #1 and the other port should not be used. Can try swapping ports after you power cycle the CM modem off then back ON for 30 seconds.
All LEDs on the CM modem good? Should be green and Ethernet LED should be blinking green.
