RBR750 wired connection is slower than wifi
I don't understand what is going on. I have spectrum internet and the download speed test going into my router is 490 - 500mbps. The wifi connection on my phone - laptop - and iMac is around 400mbps....
No the problem is consistent with each computer I try. Anything done wireless is fat around 400mbps. and anything done wired is less than 95mbps. I even tried hooking direct out of the orbi without a switch or anything to interfere. That method got me the 95mbps. Seems like an output problem with the orbi
Check with a different wired PC to see if same thing happens.
Check the connect rate on the PC and on the RBRs web page under Advanced/Show Stats tab to see if the connection rate on the LAN port on the RBR shows 100Mpbs or 1000Mpbs. Should be 1000Mbps.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
