Garage is about 30 feet away… I’m trying to connect WIZ lights outside garage - won’t connect due to weak WiFi message….but phone connects to my network from that area - no problem.

K, ya a EAX series would be something to try.

Do these WIZ lights connect directly to the home WiFi network, or is there "WIZmote" involved?

WIZ lights connect to my wifi network @2.4ghz….the WIZ lights connect without issue if moved into main living area…but won’t connect at garage even though other devices have no issue.

Thanks for the explanation I was distracted by internet comments about whatever the heck that WIZmote-thingy is.
WiFi is really sensitive to structural interference. After these bulbs are initially set up in the house, they can be moved to other locations in the house and immediately join the WiFi network and function, correct? It is only when taken to the garage location that they complain about "weak signal"?
It would be useful to know if the bulbs work in other locations in and around the garage. Garages often do not have very many electrical outlets to experiment with. If the bulbs work most places but fail at the desired location, perhaps there is some metal in the direct radio path between the bulbs and the WiFi units. For example, placing them inside a "really cool looking" metal fixture would not be a good idea.
