Issue: Connecting to mQ camera app. How do I do all this as suggested by Chamberland support? Recommended Router Settings Note: If attempting to change any router settings yourself, be sure to ...

Netgear Orbi meets all the requirements listed "out of the box" with the exception of allowing inbound ports through the firewall. I know of no other camera system that requires opening ports. And, none of the customer reviews mention doing this.
My advice: set it up following the directions that came with it and see what happens.

What issues are you having? You only put you have issues and then copy pasted their recommendations.
You have the RBR750?
What firmware is on it?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
what are you trying to setup? I'm not even sure what mQ is. Is it a camera? Garage door opener?
Details are key. The more you tell us, the better we can help.

Thank you both for your quick replies. Yes, the MyQ is a camera for a garage supplied by Chamberlain. My RBR750 is on the “latest” firmware version V4.6.14.3. My modem is an ATT U-verse Modem. The key point is that for couple of plus years the camera worked fine. I spent an hour and a half with a MyQ technical support person and tried to reset it and reinstalled it many times. It was able to get connect to my WiFi but got hung up on a last step of renaming the camera. A separate support person told me that they have a firmware issue with the camera and it is it my WiFi. Still not working, I called again and got the message that I listed. (My network knowledge is novice at best).
Then I read both your replies and after reading that my WiFi should be able to handle the protocols, I decided to try a reinstall again. I brought the camera closer to my router upstairs (although the signal strength is excellent in the garage), deleted it from my Bluetooth list and went through the install process.….And behold - it worked. I unplugged the device and reconnected it in the garage and it still WORKED. Hurray.
So problem SOLVED, thanks to you two, but I don’t know why. The mystery if WiFi!?
Thank you again!

Glad it works now. I swear there is BIG SIGN on the wall at tech support, First... Blame the WiFi Router.

Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
