RBR750/RBR750S, how to best proceed

FWIW, we have Comcast/Xfinity but we use our own modem so we are not dependent on Comcast's gateway so there is not extra fee to use their equipment. The modem is a Motorola DOCSIS 3.1 connected directly to the RBR750 so there is no IP Passthrough or Bridge Mode needed to be configured. The modem is approved by Xfininty for use with their system. The only downside is that support for the modem, if needed, is not offered by Comcast. They will periodically update the modem to work with their system but that's all. We have two, hardwired RBS 750's upstairs at opposite ends of the house (the router is downstairs) and they work just fine, even with the current update from Netgear. Outside coverage is fine as well.
