Fortunately, this is not an issue. If the system is reconfigured with exactly the same WiFi credentials, then every WiFi device that was working before will simply reconnect. Think about it. How does a WiFi device know "what happened?" when the WiFi signal stops for a while and then resumes? Every time I replace my WiFi system with a new one, I use exactly the same WiFi credentials and every device simply reconnects.
and.... if I want to "go back" to the previous hardware, it is a simple swap. When the WiFi reappears, devices reconnect.
