RBR760 et WIFI 7
Hi, does anybody know if it is or it will be possible to upgrade the RBR760 (AX5400) to wifi 7, or will I have no other choice than to buy a new router ? Thanks

Wifi 7 is a hardware change. You'd need a new router to get wifi 7.
But I'd hold off. There really isn't much for devices that support wifi 7 yet so unless you've recently picked up quite a few, you won't really notice a difference.

well, thanks for the answer, even if it's not the one i'd have liked to read...
why is this kind of equipment not designed to be upgraded by just a firmware ?
I really feel upset having bought a new router juste 1 year ago and seeing it already outdated.
it's really not worth buying new technology !

Chipsets and hardware are designed for whats is current and new at the time. Hard to put in new stuff with out knowing of it's design and being approved by the hardware and security communities before mfrs can start building it. Been like this since the beginning. Just like cars, there outdated and value is deminished soon as you leave the show room floor. Same goes for phones and pads. What them to take advantage of new WiFi standards, older device just can't be updated to support that with FW updates, all that is a hardware change. Thus if you want the new stuff, you have to get new stuff.

I really feel upset having bought a new router juste 1 year ago and seeing it already outdated.---Its not outdated. Wifi 7 just came out and there isn't really much for devices that support it yet. Even wifi 5 devices like the Orbi AC series are still working great. You should get quite a few more years out of it yet.
it's really not worth buying new technology !----Just like a new car, the minute you drive it off the lot, its worth less $ and is getting behind on technology. But its how things advance
