RBR760 MULTIPLE ISSUES
My RBR760 is connected to the internet via the D-Link DSL-4320L. It (and two satellites) worked fine until yesterday. Then for some reason the RBR760 went offline. (The DSL4320L modem was fine - a...

Many thanks to all who offered advice.
In the end, I deleted the app and then methodically reconnected the DSL and RBR.
I'm now up and running again (including with the ORBI app).
It was a bit unstable at first (depending on the internet port I selected on the DSL-4320L), but seems to have settled down. I suspect the "double NAT" issue may be at play, but frankly the solution is beyond my technical capabilities - the last thing I want to do is tamper with the DSL settings and not be able to backtrack.
If problems continue, I'll end up having to call in an IT specialist (for what should have been an easy plug in!).

Like all residential routers, the Orbi RBR760 creates a local network and uses Network Address Translation (NAT) so that to the network the Orbi has been connected to, all the devices appear to come from one IP address. Normally, this local network is 192.168.1.x. When the router WAN port has been assigned an IP address in that 192.168.1.x subnet, the default behavior is to change its local network to 10.0.0.x
What appears to have happened is the Ethernet link between D-Link and Orbi WAN port is not working.
By connecting one of the LAN ports to the D-Link device (a combination DLS modem/router/WiFi device) things are "confused". When every device on the network uses a DHCP broadcast to ask for an IP address, those broadcasts will be sent everywhere, including to the D-Link. And, the D-Link will respond. It might be useful to log into the D-Link (at 192.168.1.1) and see what it shows for "Connected Devices". It would be especially helpful to reconnect the Ethernet cable to the Orbi WAN port and see if the D-Link shows the Orbi as being connected. (also try a different D-Link port.)

Thanks for your useful response. I have set aside as long as it takes tomorrow to work on this issue.
I have logged into the D-Link (at 192.168.1.1) and see what it shows for "Connected Devices" and it shows RBR760 as a connected device, but unlike all other devices it has no signal bars.
I already tried connecting the Ethernet cable to the Orbi WAN port and I lost internet entirely.
BUT your suggestion of trying a different D-Link port is the first thing I’ll try before I move on to more extreme steps - like disconnecting the lot and trying to put the system back together again. (I had tried that yesterday, but who knows…I might have taken a misstep).
many thanks for your help.
