RBR760 Trying to connect Hubspace to our wi-fi

App keeps telling me that a 2.4 network cannot be detected.  Please help.

  • This sounds like a classic issue with the smartphone app being poorly written. I found the reviews "all over the place"

    One person claimed that Hubspace technical support was excellent. Perhaps if you try them, your experience would validate (or disccredit) that account?

     

    There is an extreme method to get setup to proceed: temporarily turn off 5G WiFi.  On the Orbi web interface, select the Wireless menu, then uncheck the box Enable 5Ghz and click APPLY.  After the router reboots, reconnect the smartphone and it will connect to 2.4G.  Of course, every device in the house using 5G will get disconnected. Some will change to 2.4G and remain stuck there for some time.

     

    After the setup completes, enable 5G again.
