RBR840 ROUTER AND SATELLITES
RBR840 ROUTER IS SHOWING 500MB+ DOWNLOAD SPEED, BUT NONE OF THE SATELLITES HAVE DOWNLOAD SPEED GREATER THAN 80MB . USING THREE SATELLITES, ONE RBS840 AND 2 RBS750. INSTALLED IN 2019 AND HAD GOOD SPEEDS EVERYWHERE UNTIL 6-8 WEEKS AGO. RBS840 AND ONE RBS750 CONNECTED VIA CAT5. ONE RBS750 WIRELESS CONNECTION TO ROUTER. ALL HAVE V4.6.14.3 FIRMWARE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO CHECK WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THANKS!

Please don't YELL. We can see and hear you fine.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)?CAT5 is only rated for 100Mpbs. CAT6 STP is recommended for ethernet connections between the RBR and RBS.

I found there was a firmware update on Netgear.com that would not update to the devices via normal update. I down loaded v4.6.14.5 and updated the router and the rbs840 satellite. That restored the speed to the rbr840 and both rbs750 satellites. The rbs840 showed a slight speed increase in download, but it doubled the upload speed from 15mb to 35mb. So I think I am good for now. We need the upload speed for streaming on Sunday mornings.
To answer your questions: We are using Suddenlink cable. The two routers with cat5 cable are using about 120 ft to the router and the one that is wireless is about 100 ft going thru two windows. The church is sitting on a sq block and I have wireless available in all the buildings with at least 250mb download speeds(now). the modem and the router are about 5ft apart connected with cat5. AND I will see if i can get funds for a spool of cat7 and replace all the cat5. Thanks! for your response!

Glad you got it working better.
FYI: CAT5 is only rated for 100Mpbs. CAT6 is recommended.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
