RBR850- temp turn off 5GHz band
I have been trying to get a 2.4GHz MHCOZY Wi-Fi switch to connect but my iPhone 15 Pro Max will only connect to 5GHZ and I need the phone to be on 2.4GHz.
I have an RBR 850 with Firmware V4.6.14.3_2.3.12
What I have tried:
On Router: ADVANCED>WIRELESS SETUP/ uncheck 'Enable 5 GHz'
Reboot Router
On phone, forget Wi-Fi network and reboot phone
After powering up phone and rejoining the Wi-Fi network I am still connected to 5GHz.
I realize the manufacturer software is to blame for all this headache but is there a work around someone could suggest?
Thanks for the help

Can't on Orbi systems.
One thing you can try:
Turn OFF all RBS. Then turn the power output of the 5Ghz radio to 25% on the RBR. Be sure that 20/40 MHz Coexistence enabled. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings. Then connect your mobile device at a distance from the RBR to ensure the mobile phone keeps connected to the 2.4Ghz radio. After you get the IoT device connected, re-configure the system back to where it was.
Or update FW so that you get the separate IoT network which offers selection of 2.4G or 5Ghz or both configurations:
