What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What OSX version is loaded on the Mac Mini?
What is the distance in feet the Mac Mini is from the RBR or RBS?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
What channels are you using?
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Be sure WMM is enabled. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try setting CTS to 2347...

Hi
Your response is appreciated:
Firmware V4.6.3.16_2.0.51
OSX latest- rebuilt a week ago by specialists
8 feet from Satellite
Router is approx 50 feet from Satellite and maintains great connection - all other devices are good.
2.4 GHz - channel 1 (have tried alternatives)
5 GHz - channel 44
No alternative neighbour wifi's show
WMM is enabled
CTS is already set at 2347
As I stated I have followed all others threads, which have asked the same questions.
Thanks

OSX latest- rebuilt a week ago by specialists<So this doesn't say which version of OSX. There are many including betas. Mojave? Big Sur? Monteray?
8 feet from Satellite. < can you turn OFF the RBS and see if the Mac Mini connects to the RBR and sees same problems or not.
Does the Mac Mini work ok while using ethernet connection to the RBS?
If the mac mini is the only device having problems while others do not, possible there maybe issue with the Mac Mini WiFi module. Something to ask Apple support about and see. - gbrdbyNov 23, 2021Aspirant
Thanks
I will check which OSX specifically the MAC has right now, but yes it worked perfectly with an ethernet connection direct to the RBR, will stick a cable into the RBS tomorrow. This issue with Internet dropping or being slow is only when on wifi.
Is there a known non-compatability with late 2014 Mac Mini's and Orbi 6 mesh wifi ?
It seems there are a number of similar threads with advice on changing settings in the Netgear router / OSX or firmware updates... but none seem to give a clear answer...
If it means that the MAC just isnt compatabile due to software / hardware issues with the Orbi we would consider buying a new one with the M1 chip, but I would want some sort of assurance they will work ? Is there anyone with that set up ?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
Not aware of any incompatibility issues with Apple and Orbi devices. I have a Mac Mini 2012 and MPB 2018, both work ok on Orbi. I use default CTS of 64 and haven't seen any issues.
Just seems like if the Mac Mini is the only device having problems while others are not, possible OSX or wifi module issue on this Mini.
Try the Mini with the RBS turned off as well and see if wireless works...
